DPS Group Projects is Hiring a Procurement Specialist Near Cary, NC

Summary
DPS is adding a Procurement Specialist to the Cary Projects team. The Procurement Specialist will with the Procurement Manager and the other Senior Procurement staff to assist with the procurement requirements on the many fast paced projects that DPS performs for clients. Assists with issuing RFQ/ITB packages, bidder lists, subcontractor/vendor database, distribution of proposals, and other procurement activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research new suppliers and make recommendations to buyers.
  • Organize vendor and subcontractor database.
  • Issue request for quote and invitation to bid packages.
  • Receive and distribute proposals.
  • Assist in with proposal review from a commercial aspect.
  • Assist with the issuance of purchase orders and subcontracts.
  • Enter commitments and invoice control; review and submittal into Procore.
  • Maintain equipment status reports for projects.
  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate any potential lead time issues.
  • Develop and maintain necessary records and files for efficient operation.
  • Manage procurement logistics.
  • Invoice review and submittal.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in buying and expediting Engineered Equipment.
  • 5-7 years’ experience developing contracting/procurement strategies/sourcing/pre-qualification of vendors or subcontractors.
  • Previous experience in the development of bid packages/RFPs.
  • MS Office Suite (Advanced Excel), Deltek, Procore, Bluebeam, ConstructSecure, Visual, SAP, Epicor, JDE and familiar with various ERP Systems
